There comes a time in every life when God invites us into a new season, a new purpose. For me, this season has arrived on many fronts—spiritually, emotionally, and practically. I’m stepping into retirement, sharing my message through a new podcast, and navigating the tender process of selling my parents’ home. Each change reminds me that God is always at work, shaping us for what’s next.
Embracing the End of an Old Season
After my dad passed, I found myself caught in the familiar routines but feeling disconnected, like I was wandering without a clear identity. The season I was in no longer fit the woman God was shaping me to be. I felt like an orphan, unsure of who I really was apart from my parents and old roles.
Answering God’s Call to Something New
God began to gently reveal a clearer purpose—one that calls me into deeper worship, intentional faith, and bold sharing of His truth. This new season isn’t about holding on tighter to what was; it’s about releasing old commitments and stepping into His fresh call.
Letting Go and Moving Forward
Part of walking into this new season means reevaluating where I invest my time and energy. Saying no to some things, like full time worship leading, has opened space for the new purposes God is bringing. It’s a process of waking up spiritually and living with intention, not complacency.
If you’re wondering whether you might be spiritually dry or feeling stuck in a season of complacency, I’ve created a short assessment to help you reflect and pinpoint where you are in your walk with God. Take the Feeling Spiritually Dry? Assessment and discover practical next steps to reignite your passion and purpose in Christ.
If you’re sensing God’s invitation too, remember: you’re not behind, and it’s never too late. As long as there is breath in your lungs, God has a purpose for you. Let’s walk boldly into this new season, with hearts fully surrendered and eyes fixed on Jesus.
